Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!
I've cleaned up the Table of Contents for the Talkback discussion group, but unfortunately lost pointers to
a few posts in the process. Every post ever made to Talkback is still available (and can
be gotten to by either using the Talkback Search page or
by using the Previous and Next text links on each Talkback page); it's just a bit harder
to find certain posts. This is apparently a bug in FrontPage's discussion software and I'm
trying to work with Microsoft on getting a fix.

I rearranged and made several additions to the Troubleshooting Resources page and added a new article on PC Software Troubleshooting to the Troubleshooting Guide page.
December 5, 1997
I've made several minor enhancements to the site,
including adding text-only navigation buttons at the bottom of each page.
November 21, 1997
I've added my written News segments to each of
the "O'Donnell on Computers" This Week's Links pages,
linked under the word "News."
These notes are the ones I use during the computer industry news segments I do at the
beginning of every hour. I've also incorporated links for news from previous weeks into
the Previous Weeks' Links and News page (and renamed it
accordingly).
The Links page for the "Meeting the Challenge" television show has also been updated
to reflect recent and upcoming shows.

Lots of minor fixes and enhancements to the site,
including addressing horizontal scrolling issues for smaller screens. I've also added some
new additions to and reorganized the Troubleshooting Resources
page.
October 17, 1997
I've made several important additions to the
site, including a new page for "O'Donnell on
Computers" listeners to post their sites, as well as the first article in the Troubleshooting guide. I've also
fixed broken links, properly named all the pages, fixed the background color issue, and
cleaned up the layout on a few pages. You can now find an updated This
Week's Links page, as well as appropriate changes to the Previous
Weeks' Links page to reflect this week's show. I plan on updating these pages every
Friday evening.
In the process of fixing some of the site's
glitches on Monday, the Talkback discussion forum broke and
was down for a few days. Thanks to herculean efforts by Greg Botto of Global Network Services (my ISP), Talkback is up and
running, as are the Search and Feedback
pages, which previously were not working. We're still having problems with the request for
more information on the "O'Donnell Consulting"
page. (That's what I get for using beta software--Microsoft FrontPage 98--which also requires
beta server extensions, to build the site.) The one problem is if you filled out the
Feedback form or the Request for More Info during the week, I never received anything. Now
that Feedback is working, you can resend anything you originally tried to send earlier (as
long as you don't mind, that is.) Any requests for more info on consulting will have to be
via e-mail for now.

Hello and welcome to the launch of
everythingcomputers.com. All of the site's basic pieces are in place, but there's still
lots more to go. The Troubleshooting Guide and Resources, in particular, will see some
substantial beefing up over the next few weeks.
I heartily encourage any visitor to the site to
send me feedback on what you like and what you don't. I want to
make this a fun, information-filled site for computer users of all levels, but I'll need
your help to make that a reality. Also, please let me know if something doesn't work.
Everything has been checked, but there's bound to be a few gotchas.
Thanks again for coming and I look forward to
seeing you again soon.
